We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our Components Manufacturing Department, responsible for producing precision-machined components used in high-performance fuel systems. This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, supporting production operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume, precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for precision components
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to production operations within the Components Department
- Analyze manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for manufacturing issues
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards
- Conduct time studies, process capability analysis, and workflow optimization
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality and production challenges
- Support equipment and tooling improvements to enhance manufacturing performance
- Assist with new product launches and manufacturing process validation
- Ensure processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and process improvement methodologies
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to analyze production data and drive process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in precision machining or component manufacturing
- Experience in automotive, diesel, or fuel system manufacturing
- Knowledge of CNC machining, grinding, honing, or metal cutting processes
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing environments
