Manufacturing Engineer
Develops, plans, coordinates, and implements a large and important manufacturing engineering project, or several projects of a smaller scale, consisting of complex features in order to best support the plant and its operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices and manufacturing methods (machining, tooling, gaging) in broad areas of assignments.
- Applies advanced techniques and modifies theories, processes, and/or practices within the scope of assignment.
- Works independently, exercising a good deal of judgment. Receives guidance only on overall objectives and policy matters.
- Works closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve process problems related to machinery testing and/or gaging. (Spends approximately 40% of time on the shop floor.)
- May functionally supervise technicians and less experienced engineers. Schedules and assigns work to meet the target date and checks progress on a continual basis.
- May be required to perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must display a high level of maturity and sound judgment.
- Attention to detail and solid organization skills required
- Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and/or related area.
