Mechanical Technician: Gasoline Products Development, test gasoline pumps and injectors in the durability area, perform fuel changes and test stand maintenance as required to maintain test cells, troubleshoot test stands and make required repairs, maintain durability area inventory, write and update work instructions as required, light plumbing and electrical work as required to maintain test stands, perform 5S activities as required.

Must work onsite at Stanadyne Jacksonville plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Test gasoline pumps and injectors per test schedule.
• Coordinates with Manager – JAX test Services for the entire product life cycle of fuel systems concept development to manufacturing.
• Perform fuel changes and test stand maintenance as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair durability test stands as required.
• Perform plumbing and light electrical work to ensure proper testing of gasoline pumps and injectors.
• Assure product conformance through the creation of standard work and work instructions
• Maintain durability lab inventory to ensure necessary repair parts are available when needed.
• Perform 5S activities to maintain cleanliness of test cells and stands.
• Work collaboratively with internal customers (i.e. Manufacturing and Quality) to identify issues related to testing gasoline pumps and injectors.
• Work with suppliers as required to receive spare parts, new parts, and maintenance items.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly durability related reports utilizing Microsoft Excel

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and/or experience in testing high precision components for the Automotive Industry, fuel injectors and pumps would be preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Able to work with minimal supervision, alone and/or in cross-functional teams.

Education and/or Experience:

• Preferred Qualification: Associate’s degree or Technical Certificate
• LabView experience a plus
• Minimum of 2 years related work experience (related Automotive Gasoline field experience)
