Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Fusion Program

Lighthouse Autism Center

Full-Time | Virtual/Minimal In-Person (10%)

Lighthouse Autism Center is seeking a collaborative, mission-driven Speech-Language Pathologist to join our innovative Fusion Program—a model that pairs SLPs and BCBAs to deliver truly integrated, functional communication support for autistic learners. If you’re passionate about meaningful, real-world communication outcomes and want to work in a clinical environment where your voice carries weight and your expertise is valued, this is the role for you.

About the Fusion Program

Fusion is Lighthouse’s dually certified SLP/BCBA-led model that brings together the best of speech-language pathology and applied behavior analysis. In Fusion, SLPs and BCBAs collaboratively assess, plan, and deliver intervention that prioritizes:

  • Functional communication across all modalities (AAC, vocal speech, multimodal communication)
  • Evidence-based, naturalistic interventions
  • Rapid access to an effective communication mode for every learner—our 8-week mission
  • Shared problem-solving, professional respect, and true interdisciplinary care
  • Comprehensive AAC expertise, from low-tech solutions to robust high-tech systems

SLPs at Lighthouse are supported by experienced SLP/BCBAs, strong onboarding, mentorship, and a culture that values professional growth just as much as learner outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evaluation, treatment, and ongoing communication programming for autistic learners ages 2–21.
  • Collaborate daily with BCBAs to develop cohesive, functional communication plans.
  • Implement a variety of AAC systems and help shape each learner’s most effective communication mode.
  • Train RBTs, BCBAs, and caregivers in communication strategies that align with Fusion principles.
  • Contribute to program-wide initiatives, SLP/BCBA trainings, and center-wide professional development.
  • Collect and interpret data to inform treatment decisions and progress monitoring.
  • Participate in dynamic, supportive team meetings focused on problem-solving—not silos.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures as well as complying with legal and insurance regulations
  • Serve and protect the speech therapy practice by adhering to professional standards and ethics, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and national and state organizations

What We Offer:

  • Robust training and mentorship from dually certified SLP/BCBAs
  • A caseload designed to allow for meaningful, high-quality therapy
  • CEU support and access to internal continuing education
  • Interdisciplinary, collaborative culture that is truly different from traditional clinical or school settings
  • Opportunities to grow in leadership, specialization, and cross-disciplinary expertise
  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and more)

If you’re ready to join a team that values your clinical expertise, supports your growth, and believes every learner deserves an effective way to communicate, we’d love to meet you.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or CF applicants welcome at designated sites)
  • Active state SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Passion for functional communication, AAC, and interdisciplinary work
  • Openness to learning the Fusion model and receiving mentorship from SLP/BCBAs
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a desire to build strong professional relationships
