I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The principal challenge for this position is to supervise the day-to-day warehousing activities utilizing OPEX principles, specifically, level pull, quality systems, safety protocols, and problem-solving skills, while maintaining accurate inventories and meeting both internal and external delivery and service requirements. The coordination of all related activities for the warehousing of all closures and raw materials is very critical in this position. Another key challenge of this position involves constant communication and coordination between transportation, customer support, production and scheduling. Another critical challenge is to ensure level warehouse flow for both incoming and outgoing shipments. An internal challenge will be to standardize as many procedures and processes as possible. The incumbent is required to adhere to CSI's import/export compliance policy and requirements while performing all activities of their job. The incumbent will attend CSI's import/export compliance training to ensure that this policy is understood. He/She will be able to perform all the principle challenges and processes of the Warehouse.
• Ensure compliance of all DOT regulations
• Lead role (SPA) on the Mobile Equipment Team and Mobile Equipment improvement activities
• Accountable for IFE’s in the warehouse and other areas of the business
• Accountable for all warehousing Triple I reporting and root cause/problem solving
• Accountable for daily communication regarding rejected or late trucks and problems with orders
• Accountable for all warehousing customer complaints
• Oversee shipment of orders on time, in the right amount, and correct documentation, without defect
• Ensure internal shuttling of finished goods and raw materials
Provide assistance for containment of non-conforming materials or product
• Responsible for maintaining daily accurate inventories
Responsible to update morning shiplog. (need WI)
Responsible to Send new orders to the transportaion management company for carrier assignments.
Responsible to Ensure inventory is transferred in system (move reserve)
Responsible to Ensure QH inentory is transferred in the system
Responsible for Monthly and weekly physical inventory counts
Accountable for all Physical count adjustments on QH, FG and PRD inventories
Responsible for all shipping of all small packages via UPS and other small package parcel (need WI)
Accountable to Enter all Customer Returns into the system (need WI)
Accountable to enter all vendor recipts into the sysem - parts and Raw Materials (need WI)
Ensure QA accepts the product Accountable to ensure all incoming materials are without defect and reject damaged product.
Ensure all Raw materials get put away, and team is following FIFO
Work Closely with Production planner to ensure all product is produced and ready to go.
Responsible for all customer or internal recall back tracking and bookending
Responsible to process all outbound scrap and ensure proper billing is done.
Other daily tasks as assigned by management team.
This position is an integral member of the Materials Department. All Warehouse Attendants (CDL and non CDL) report to this position.
The position will be responsible for scheduling and assignment of staff. This will include establishment of goals, standards and accountability for performance, including timely and accurate communications. Responsibilities include training and development plans for employees, as well as measurement and communication of results.
II. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Hourly Personnel (10-15 employees)
III. EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Associate Degree in business or applicable field of study or equivalent work experience
Three to five (5) years work experience in this area
Thorough knowledge of CSI’s Safety, Environmental and Health policies.
Thorough knowledge of warehousing activities
Possesses excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to handle confrontational situations effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, self-directed and responsible for delivering results
Effectively utilizes available computer tools
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment through planning, organization, and follow-through.
Supportive of driving change in the organization to accomplish business objectives.
IV. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Standing, bending, walking, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, crawling, balancing, whether job requires full range of body mechanics. All of the above when on the floor and Warehouse
2. Lifting and carrying requirements and frequency. (up to 50lbs)
3. Whether use of ladders, stairs, climbing, working on platforms is required.
4. Ability to use and work near power tools, manufacturing equipment, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
5. Address need for fine manipulation.
6. Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
7. Ability to engage in shift work.
