Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Key position that involves constant communication and coordination between transportation, customer support, production planning, manufacturing, and production. Position must also ensure level warehouse flow for both incoming and outgoing shipments, along with performing any 5-why investigations and the implementation of suggested improvements. Logistics specialist standardizes as many procedures and processes as possible between the two plants within the Kilgore facility. Position must ensure that CSI's import/export compliance policy and requirements are strictly followed while performing all activities in the warehouse and coaching warehouse personnel to do the same. The Logistics Manager will establish goals, standards and accountability for performance, including timely and accurate communications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The incumbent will attend CSI's import/export compliance training to ensure that this policy is understood. He/She will be able to perform all the principle challenges and processes of a Sr. Shipper and Warehouse Attendant.
• Ensure compliance of all DOT regulations and CTPAT requirements
• Ensure “Good” on all ASAT’s and schedule necessary audits
• Coach and teach warehouse personnel, and provide communication regarding any changes or issues that arise.
• Investigate areas for improvement in both warehouse locations. Discuss ideas with Logistics Manager for approval before making changes to work flow.
• Holds warehouse team members accountable for work assignments and for following warehouse standards and procedures. Works through Logistics Manager to design disciplinary actions when needed; trains warehouse personnel on new policies and procedures.
• Ensures all warehouse personnel follow EHS and Quality standards, as well as warehouse policies and procedures
• Lead role on the Mobile Equipment Team and Mobile Equipment improvement activities
• Accountable for IFE’s in the warehouse and other areas of the business
• Accountable for all warehousing Triple I reporting and root cause/problem solving
• Accountable for daily communication regarding rejected or late trucks, inappropriate equipment, problems with orders
• Accountable for all warehousing customer complaints
• Accountable for re-order of warehoused raw materials on pull
• Oversee shipment of orders on time, in the right amount, and correct documentation, without defect
• Ensure internal shuttling of finished goods and raw materials between both locations
• Provide assistance for containment of non-conforming materials or product
• Responsible for maintaining daily accurate inventories
• SPA for daily communication regarding any production planning issues in the warehouse
• SPA for daily communication between Sr. Shippers and Warehouse activities
• This position is an integral member of the Injection Materials Logistics Department. All Warehouse Attendants and Sr. Shippers report to this position for their daily work assignments.
• Report any deviation from food safety protocol to the functional responsible personnel. Position will be responsible for staffing, scheduling and assignment of staff. Responsibilities include training and development plans for employees, as well as measurement and communication of results.
• Ensure that (where applicable) the supply chain is made aware of their food safety obligations as our
• partner in the quest to deliver a safe product to the consuming public.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads Warehouse crew, assigns tasks, provides feedback to Manager regarding individual contributions to warehouse results.

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or GED certification preferred; however, three to five years’ work experience in warehousing previous experience in warehousing systems, process flow management, and data entry or familiar with CSI warehousing policies and procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of CSI’s Safety, Environmental and Health policies.

• Intermediate computer experience is required.
• Knowledge related to creation and dispositions of HFI’s, scrap and materials storage in the warehouse.
• Ability to manage any warehouse process; fills in for absent employees as needed.

POSITION DEMANDS
• All warehouse personnel must follow all food safety guidelines while on the manufacturing floor.
• Each employee will complete required Quality/GMP Job Observations and all training required located on the EHS website.
• Complies with all OPEX (Operational Excellence) policies, procedures, and guidelines required of them in their current role; completes all required training, audits, and compliance tools
• Follows all procedures and SOP’s for the Warehouse areas and support departments to meet and exceed expectations.
• Be aware of hazardous materials in the area and the proper handling of hazardous materials. Awareness will be achieved through training, SDS review, safety meetings, and toolbox meetings.
• Be aware of, understand, and follow emergency procedures.
• Comply with and lead others regarding all EHS systems and follows GMP rules; report all spills or other environmental incidents following EHS protocol.
• Works in such a manner as to prevent environmental incidents and if asked, to participate in investigations of environmental incidents.
• Understands how warehouse procedures affect the customer’s product; ensures product safety and quality are not compromised while using mobile equipment during product loads.
• Enters data and provide paperwork required to maintain an efficient warehousing system.
• Performs duties in an efficient manner without damage to company equipment and furnishings.
• Constantly monitor & provide standard housekeeping duties - Keep work area clean.
• Follows work instructions and provide/receive constructive feedback from others.
• Promotes teamwork with all other employees and departments.
• Follows all food safety guidelines while on the manufacturing floor.
• Reports any deviation from food safety protocol to the functional responsible personnel.

What physical requirements are expected of this position?
[0] Light Work: Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or minimum amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of forces greater than that of Sedentary Work and the employee sits most of the time, the job is rated as Light Work.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:*
The work environment includes exposure to Operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, constant noise, grease, dirt or oil. Constant exposure to moving parts and equipment requires high degree of caution and safety to avoid minor or serious injury. Temperature regulated work environment in production areas; however, occasional work in the non-temperature regulated warehouse may be required.
