The Tooling/Assembly Helper will support the Tooling team in all aspects of the construction and assembly of Tooling and Ground Support Equipment.

Essential Functions

1. The ability to fabricate tools and fixtures.
2. Interpret aerospace drawings and specifications.
3. Use various types of fabrication equipment, conventional machine tools, precision measurement tools, and various hand tools.
4. Understanding of assembly, bonding, riveting, and other processes associated with tool shop jobs.
5. Tracker knowledge-build jig & fixtures using Laser Tracker is a plus.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

1. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
2. must understand assembly, bonding, composite materials, riveting, and other processes associated with tool shop jobs
3. Knowledge of flight hardware, tooling, and ground support equipment.
4. Advanced math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, GD&T Math)
5. Set up and operate band saws, milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, hoist/crane equipment, etc.
6. Knowledge in use of hand tools (drill motors, grinders, basic measurement Instruments, etc.)
7. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 50 pounds.
8. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Aerospace/Manufacturing setting.
9. Requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Special Requirements and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

1. Safety glasses required when in manufacturing environment.
2. Hearing protection as needed.

3. Ability to work onsite, in a non-remote setting.
