The Tooling/Assembly Helper will support the Tooling team in all aspects of the construction and assembly of Tooling and Ground Support Equipment.
Essential Functions
- The ability to fabricate tools and fixtures.
- Interpret aerospace drawings and specifications.
- Use various types of fabrication equipment, conventional machine tools, precision measurement tools, and various hand tools.
- Understanding of assembly, bonding, riveting, and other processes associated with tool shop jobs.
- Tracker knowledge-build jig & fixtures using Laser Tracker is a plus.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
- must understand assembly, bonding, composite materials, riveting, and other processes associated with tool shop jobs
- Knowledge of flight hardware, tooling, and ground support equipment.
- Advanced math skills (Algebra, Trigonometry, GD&T Math)
- Set up and operate band saws, milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, hoist/crane equipment, etc.
- Knowledge in use of hand tools (drill motors, grinders, basic measurement Instruments, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 15 to 50 pounds.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Aerospace/Manufacturing setting.
- Requires the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Special Requirements and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
- Safety glasses required when in manufacturing environment.
- Hearing protection as needed.

Work Conditions
- Hours outside of a normal working day may be required to meet project deadlines or ability to work overtime to support production demand.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices.
- Ability to work onsite, in a non-remote setting.
