Our precision components support the International Space Station, nearly every major launch vehicle in operation, high-performance spacecraft (including classified missions), as well as next-generation fighter aircraft, bombers, submarines, radar systems, and ground vehicles.

We are growing and seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Business Development Coordinator to help our team operate at peak efficiency and deliver an outstanding customer experience. The Business Development Coordinator will play a key role in supporting our sales and customer engagement activities. This position is ideal for a highly organized, motivated individual who is attentive to detail, enjoys customer interaction, streamlining processes, and helping the team succeed. The role combines elements of sales operations, customer service, marketing coordination, and administrative support.

Essential Functions

Request for Quote (RFQ) Management

  • Manage and oversee timely, accurate input and management of new Requests for Quote (RFQs) and opportunities.
  • Assist sales representatives with RFQ entry, tracking, and status updates as necessary.
  • Ensure final contract documents are consistent with negotiated agreements
  • Follow up with customers post-RFQ submission via email and phone to confirm receipt, clarify details, track progress, and gather input regarding reasons for win or loss after contract award.

Sales Reporting & Team Support

  • Maintain and distribute regular sales and pipeline reports.
  • Track key performance metrics such as quote volume, win rate, and revenue by customer or program.
  • Schedule and coordinate contract review meetings for new contract awards to ensure smooth internal handoff from BD to operations.
  • Process all new contracts into the ERP system.
  • Ensure all applicable stakeholders complete their assigned tasks prior to sending out order acknowledgments to customers
  • Assist Finance and Shipping in documentation required for shipments and invoicing.

Customer Engagement & Events

  • Prepare and update marketing materials and presentations in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Order and maintain branded promotional items (“swag”) and help facilitate company presence at trade shows, customer visits, etc.
  • Prepare conference rooms, materials, and refreshments for on-site customer meetings.

Marketing & Digital Presence

  • Manage company website content and updates through coordination with external IT/web support.
  • Oversee company social media accounts (primarily LinkedIn), including posting updates, photos, and company news.

Customer & Portal Administration

  • Maintain customer portals, upload required documents and ensure company profiles remain up to date.
  • Complete new customer supplier surveys, manage customer documentation, and coordinate responses with internal stakeholders.
  • Track and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and other commercial documents.

Research & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct online research on target customers, competitors, and industry trends to support strategic BD initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal BD processes, templates, and reporting tools.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Interfaces with key customers to ensure contractual compliance and performance.
  • Prepares and presents clear, concise reports and summaries to management and stakeholders.
  • Communicates effectively with internal teams and customers to clarify requirements.

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the Estimating and Business Development departments.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in preparing reports, memos, and other internal communications.
Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, a related technical field, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a business development function, sales operations, marketing support role, or inside sales
  • Strong preference for experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense. Strong plus for experience in a job shop environment including build-to-print, custom fabrications and large components
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations (FAR, DFAR) and experience with DoD proposals a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) necessary, and experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support in a professional office environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients.
  • Experience with market research and data analysis is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.

Work Conditions

  • 40-hour onsite work week
  • Hours outside of a normal working day may be required to meet project deadlines or respond to system incidents.
  • Some travel may be required
  • Ability to work occasionally in manufacturing shop floor conditions.

  • This position requires the use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
