At Torngat Metals, we are developing the Strange Lake project to meet the urgent global demand for responsibly sourced rare earths that are essential to the energy transition. We are currently seeking talented individuals who are eager to contribute to our highly strategic project and play a role in shaping a resilient and responsible rare earth industry in Canada.

Torngat Metals is seeking a qualified IT Coordinator to join its team located in Montreal. Reporting to the IT Systems & Applications Specialist, this role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day IT support operations, managing Microsoft 365 and Windows 365 environments, supporting end users, administering IT assets, and contributing to process improvement, automation, and technology initiatives across the organization. The role will evolve with the project’s advancement into operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the single point of contact for IT support requests and issues
  • Coordinate tickets and activities with our managed services partner (MSP)
  • Provide expertise and support on Microsoft 365 (M365) and Windows 365 (W365)
  • Lead IT onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Track and administer IT assets across business functions
  • Support and help lead targeted custom development initiatives for Corporate teams (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Copilot Studio, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate IT processes
  • Participate in network implementation and support for remote operations
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to help prevent threats and attacks
  • Contribute to AI initiatives and development efforts

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support within a Microsoft environment
  • 3+ years of experience with M365 and W365 (including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot (including agent development and prompt engineering)
  • Windows system administration experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills (fluent in French and English)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills and expand technical expertise
  • Preferred (not required): experience with Microsoft development tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Copilot Studio, etc.)
