Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager, this position is responsible for project goal settings, milestones and roadblock identifications. This individual contributor once roadblocks are identified needs to manage to eliminate them. Heads, identifies, develops, and executes or implements long-term and short-term continuous improvement strategies, working closely with production, planning, maintenance, and shipping to increase capacity, reduce lead times, improve delivery upon request, and improve product quality. Plans, leads, defines, develops, reviews, and audits strategic activities for continuous improvement and project completions while following and helping established standards across the company. Develop and tracks metrics related to activities. Assures that facility improvement initiatives support corporate strategy and goals. Delivers updates to Senior Leadership.
Responsibilities
- Plan review and work with design on structural upgrades. As well as line installation or modifications.
- Be the voice of manufacturing in the line upgrades.
- Analyzes the effectiveness of a business function, identifies opportunities, and recommends improvement ideas for the organization's core business processes, including the corporate bottom line, working closely with Department Managers and Quality Specialists
- Develop methods to effectively communicate and report performance of projects metrics so they are visible, accurate, timely, and can be understood by people at all levels of the organization
- Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data from a variety of sources including production facilities, Engineering, shipping, inventories, quality, labor, machine data, utilities, and other areas
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets various types of data for a business, using varied types of data sets and software, utilizing analytical, statistical, and communication skills
- Research external methods, processes, and software to provide business solutions tailored to new trends, demands, and concepts
- Organize, assemble track and report on team meetings.
- Ability to collect advanced data collection and analysis for process value stream mapping
- Increases Productivity/Safety/ Quality with project deliverables
- Provide tools and ideas to Focus Factories to increase productivity
- Responsible for working with finance to produce accurate cost and productivity charting and feedback to departments
- Significant use of Microsoft Excel.
- Significant use of Power Point and Gant charts
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) MS Project
- Experience with SharePoint
- Strong experience with running reports and analyzing data
- Experience in writing queries and macros
- Access Database
- Working knowledge with Power BI
- Working knowledge with visual basic
- Experienced in trend analysis
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Lean management, 5S and six sigma training preferred
- Self-motivated and quick learner
- Strong leadership, Communication and Problem-solving skills

- Maintain proper balance while working at elevated level
- Regularly lift and/or move 40 pounds. Anything heavier than 40 pounds requires additional assistance
