Position Overview

The Director of Marine and Terrestrial Installation is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of marine shore end operations and terrestrial backhaul construction projects. This includes coordinating vessel landings, managing cable shore-end installations, and ensuring the seamless integration of terrestrial infrastructure to support subsea cable systems. The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic oversight to ensure budget adherence, compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Marine Shore End Operations and Terrestrial Backhaul Construction :

  • Lead the planning and execution of cable shore-end landings, including coordination with marine contractors and local authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and maritime regulations.
  • Oversee marine safety protocols and emergency response planning.
  • Direct the design and construction of terrestrial cable routes from shore landing stations to network nodes.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and utility providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage permitting, right-of-way acquisition, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor construction progress, budget adherence, and quality control.
  • Integrate terrestrial systems with marine cable infrastructure for seamless connectivity.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in marine operations and terrestrial infrastructure projects.
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale cable landing and backhaul construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations, environmental compliance, and telecom infrastructure.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
