Description

Process Engineering Technician

SubCom Cable Systems, LLC in Newington, New Hampshire is looking for a Process Engineering Technician, to monitor daily operations for conformance to standard process specifications. Use his specialized knowledge in subsea cable systems to support manufacturing processes. Build and maintain a PM for coupling and jointing equipment. Troubleshoot process problems and document corrective actions. Assist in the training of production personnel on new products, equipment, and processes. Lead engineering and production trials for the department, including gathering data and analyzing information. Ensure all database information and reporting are both timely and accurate. Identify trends and resolve discrepancies by using standard procedures and working with engineering team to provide resolution. Provide specialized knowledge in new systems, shore end landings, cable route clearance, cable repair and maintenance to help remedy malfunctions in collaboration with Engineering and Production team. Assist Department in the startup and evaluation of new products and processes. Work with Process Engineers to implement process improvements. Actively participate in production tool maintenance, improvements, and corrective actions. Identify and report safety issues to proper channels.

Qualifications

Requirements: Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related discipline, or foreign equivalent, and 2 years of experience in mechanical or welding process position, or in a related position. In the alternative will accept five years of experience in mechanical or welding process position, or in a related position.

Special Requirements: Experience must include 2 years in:

  1. Manufacturing vital parts of equipment to support subsea infrastructure (C-Sams, extruders, chillers, MPGU, and shipboard PGU).
  2. Installation of new systems, shore end landings, cable route clearance, cable repair and maintenance, and cable jointing.
  3. Supporting molding development process and working on the development of current molding systems.
  4. Working with electrical and mechanical systems.
  5. Gathering and analyzing data and information and drawing conclusions.
  6. Using mechanical and electrical measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, multi-meter).
