Responsibilities
- Research, process and analyze invoices and accounting codes to ensure they are correct and valid.
- Receive vendor calls and assist in any invoice discrepancies and proper resolution.
- Occasional overtime hours may be required during high volume months and closings.
- Process monthly closing of accounts payable.
- Assist in the review of payments and accruals.
- Consistently ensures that business is always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with SubCom policies, procedures, and core values.
- Provide supervision to the SubCom AP Specialists ensuring the timely processing of invoices and payments to suppliers.
- Provide supervision of online credit card applications and employee terminations.
- Provide supervision of weekly freight invoices to the general ledger.
- Assist AP Manager with performance reviews, training, and coaching of AP team.
- Additional projects when needed
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, associate’s degree a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent follow-up skills
- Ability to take initiative to bring new ideas and processes through to fruition
- Minimum 5 years of accounts payable background
- Must be team oriented and willing to help others on the team when needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively
- Strong results orientation with a proven track record of flawless execution and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple prospective clients and issues simultaneously
- Must be dependable and timely
