Responsibilities

• Research, process and analyze invoices and accounting codes to ensure they are correct and valid.
• Receive vendor calls and assist in any invoice discrepancies and proper resolution.
• Occasional overtime hours may be required during high volume months and closings.
• Process monthly closing of accounts payable.
• Assist in the review of payments and accruals.
• Consistently ensures that business is always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with SubCom policies, procedures, and core values.
• Provide supervision to the SubCom AP Specialists ensuring the timely processing of invoices and payments to suppliers.
• Provide supervision of online credit card applications and employee terminations.
• Provide supervision of weekly freight invoices to the general ledger.
• Assist AP Manager with performance reviews, training, and coaching of AP team.
• Additional projects when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, associate’s degree a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent follow-up skills
• Ability to take initiative to bring new ideas and processes through to fruition
• Minimum 5 years of accounts payable background
• Must be team oriented and willing to help others on the team when needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively
• Strong results orientation with a proven track record of flawless execution and strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple prospective clients and issues simultaneously
• Must be dependable and timely
