Position Overview

The Benefits Analyst position will provide support in the administration and activities of the SubCom benefits plans.

Responsibilities

• Update HRIS Benefit Payroll Deduction File and interface with payroll on deduction amounts as required
• Audit HRIS Benefit Payroll Deduction File with unused deductions
• Audit and update HRIS Benefit Payroll Deduction File to Payroll
• Manage Benefit Life Event Tracker
• Confirm GTL for new hires
• Manage ACA checklist for missing items and critical issues
• Manage WEX with new hires and terminated employees
• Manage benefits age-out events the first week of each month (with notification from Benefits)
• Process benefits deduction updates for employees changing from weekly to monthly pay frequency
• Educate employees in SubCom benefits and research/resolve any issues
• Facilitate leaves and assist with the management of claims
• Benefits/Payroll meeting
• Benefits department team meetings to identify challenges and improvements
• Fidelity monthly service team meeting
• On-site requirement

Qualifications

• This position requires discretion and sensitivity due to the highly confidential nature of work assignments
• Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with others in a service environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Related degree preferred, or minimum 5 years’ related experience required
• Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills with a strong sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Detail oriented, high level of accuracy in work product, with exemplary organizational and analytical skills
• Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment and benefits laws and regulations preferred
• Ability to interact at all levels of the organization both within HR and throughout the company, including with external parties
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Highly flexible and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Strong Microsoft Office and proficiency in Excel required
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to pass a Background Check, Drug Screen and Credit Check
