Position Overview
The Benefits Analyst position will provide support in the administration and activities of the SubCom benefits plans.
Responsibilities
- Update HRIS Benefit Payroll Deduction File and interface with payroll on deduction amounts as required
- Audit HRIS Benefit Payroll Deduction File with unused deductions
- Audit and update HRIS Benefit Payroll Deduction File to Payroll
- Manage Benefit Life Event Tracker
- Confirm GTL for new hires
- Manage ACA checklist for missing items and critical issues
- Manage WEX with new hires and terminated employees
- Manage benefits age-out events the first week of each month (with notification from Benefits)
- Process benefits deduction updates for employees changing from weekly to monthly pay frequency
- Educate employees in SubCom benefits and research/resolve any issues
- Facilitate leaves and assist with the management of claims
- Benefits/Payroll meeting
- Benefits department team meetings to identify challenges and improvements
- Fidelity monthly service team meeting
- On-site requirement
Qualifications
Qualifications
- This position requires discretion and sensitivity due to the highly confidential nature of work assignments
- Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with others in a service environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Related degree preferred, or minimum 5 years’ related experience required
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- Effective time management and prioritization skills with a strong sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Detail oriented, high level of accuracy in work product, with exemplary organizational and analytical skills
- Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment and benefits laws and regulations preferred
- Ability to interact at all levels of the organization both within HR and throughout the company, including with external parties
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Highly flexible and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Strong Microsoft Office and proficiency in Excel required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to pass a Background Check, Drug Screen and Credit Check
