Position Overview

The Marine Coordinator supports projects through coordinating among various departments within the business from project kickoff, throughout implementation, to completion. This position assists with Marine budgets, schedules on projects, project costing in relation to contract variations, and documentation support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Marine Coordinator, Implementation with:
    • Coordinate project activities between permitting, marine route engineering, cable engineering and installation planning, terrestrial engineering and construction, Shore End engineering and installation, Fleet Ops, Jointing and Testing, and SCS (factory)
    • Monthly, weekly, and daily project reporting (Internal and external) with an emphasis on risks to be addressed
    • Working with procurement on structuring and maintaining billing schedules for all marine construction related contracts
    • Some management of subcontractors once under contract
    • Host and coordinate route working group meetings with clients
    • Provide status on forecast variances
    • Assist in generating and maintaining purchase requisitions for the various groups within marine services
    • Assist in maintaining CV tracking documents for the Senior Marine Coordinators on their respective projects for Marine related items
    • Updating/submittal of high level, bi-weekly vessel summaries to the Marine Services organization
    • Gather marine related the information for client recoverable costs for the project true-up
    • Overview and coordination of requirements and restrictions that affect the installation and coordinate/generate mitigation measures when required
    • Generate draft commercial invoices
    • Marine POW; Continuous tracking of activities to find efficiencies, synergies and cost reduction opportunities.
    • Taking meeting minutes during internal PC/PM/Marine meetings and external CCM/RWG meetings
    • Generation and maintenance of the following documents as directed by Senior Marine Coordinator:
      • Marine Plan of Work
      • Wet Plant Spare Plan
      • Project contact List
      • Ship Tracking Report – Input only to support TCSC billing
      • Marine project kickoff presentation
      • Marine Lesson Learned presentation
      • Monthly spend forecast summaries
      • Project CV tracking document for Marine related items
    • Customer Coordination Meeting presentation support – Power Point slide gathering, collating, and formatting.
    • Project based travel as required (both domestic and international)

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Completion of a higher education degree or a technical/vocational program
  • Ability to manage financial budgets
  • Experience with Math & Statistics, Computer Operations
  • Proficient verbal and written communications
  • Basic understanding of contracts and contract management
  • Experience with financial progress reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, in particular Excel, Word and Power Point is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft project a plus.
  • Ability to work well in group / collaborative settings.
