Position Overview

The role of Business Analyst at Subcom is to review and analyze data to create and maintain Project Status Reports, Forecasts and Schedules. The Business Analyst regularly interfaces with Project Management, Research & Design, Marine Engineering & Coordination, Finance, and the Factory to ensure business and project objectives are being met.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategic impact, knowledge, skills, and scope of responsibility:

  • Creates and maintains Project Status Reports and Timelines. Works with stakeholders to ensure conformance to plan.
  • Collects, collates, and analyzes data sets to create manufacturing business recommendations for improved efficiency.
  • Provides capacity-based analyses for project quotes and business changes.
  • Maintain Forecasted revenue targets, highlight issues daily and provide recommendations for solutions.
  • Serves as a leader for the Production Schedulers – helps to autonomously resolve production concerns with colleagues and team.
  • Issues Manufacturing Instructions to the Production Schedulers for required manufacturing processes.
  • Schedules and attends meetings with required Stakeholder groups to structure manufacturing requirement need dates and follows up for regular updates to mitigate delays.
  • Interfaces with Project Management daily / weekly to discuss project risks and changes.
  • Provides directions to Operations and Support Staff.
  • This position requires a high degree of integrity and the ability to drive for world-class products.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical writing, typing, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • BA / BS recommended – equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Ability to convey critical manufacturing information to Senior Leadership in a professional and presentable manner.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • 5+ Planning, Supply Chain or Project Management experience required – equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of Planning experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to identify business risks and escalate with solutions as necessary. Follows through with solution implementation as needed.
  • Ability to make independent, informed decisions.
  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles recommended.
