Position Overview

OCTE manufactures the electronic equipment that is used in the shore stations where the fiber optic cable transitions from undersea cable to terrestrial cable

  • This position will report to the OCTE Focus Factory Manager
  • This position will design splice fixtures used in the manufacturing of OCTE Circuit Packs
  • This position will work with 3D print team to prototype designs

Responsibilities

  • Essential Functions:
    • Design new splice fixtures in CAD

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: CAD or equivalent. 3D printing experience a plus.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Completed Sophomore year of college.
  • Success Factors: Works well in a team environment. Requires little direct Supervision. Other mechanical experience such as working on cars, woodworking or hobby 3D printing
