Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for independently managing medium-complexity customer projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from project intake through final closeout. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, internal engineering teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. Projects assigned to this role typically involve moderate technical complexity, multiple execution events, customer and travel coordination, vendor management, and standard project risks, all of which require strong ownership and execution discipline. The Project Manager is expected to operate independently while maintaining strong communication, financial awareness, documentation discipline, and adherence to Red River’s project management standards.
Primary Position Tasks:
Manage assigned projects throughout the full project lifecycle from intake through closeout
Review project documentation including Statements of Work, LOEs, purchase orders, and customer requirements
Build and maintain project schedules and execution plans within approved project management systems
Lead internal kickoff meetings, customer kickoff meetings, execution planning meetings, and project status meetings
Coordinate customers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project execution
Manage scheduling activities, project milestones, and execution timelines
Track project labor utilization, budget performance, and schedule health
Coordinate project invoicing milestones and financial tracking activities
Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies while driving mitigation plans
Manage standard scope changes and change order coordination
Maintain project documentation repositories and ensure documentation compliance
Coordinate project closeout activities and customer acceptance processes
Escalate high-risk issues when necessary
Support continuous improvement initiatives across PMO operations
Other business duties as assigned

Project labor hours are managed effectively
Customer communication remains consistent and proactive
Risks are identified early and managed effectively
Documentation remains complete and audit-ready
Projects move efficiently through closeout
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
3–6 years of project management experience or related experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, project management, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
Experience managing customer-facing projects
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams
PMP certification preferred but not required
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
Experience managing infrastructure, collaboration, cloud, or managed services projects
Experience managing vendor coordination
Experience working in technical professional services organizations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient with SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and ProjectManager.com.
Strong project planning skills
Strong customer communication skills
Strong scheduling and coordination abilities
Strong documentation discipline
Financial awareness related to project budgets and labor tracking
Ability to manage competing priorities
Ability to lead project meetings effectively
Ability to manage project risks and scope changes
Ability to work independently while escalating appropriately
Essential Elements (Mental; Physical; Equipment used):
This position is an office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday.
This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
Special Requirements:
This position may require travel (25%) to customer sites, Red River offices, or partner locations as required by project scope.
Travel requirements may vary based on project assignments but are generally expected to be moderate.
