Job Summary

The Plotter Technician carries out their daily tasks inside the Digital Print Center, Plotter Room, and Print Proofing room as needed or when requested by SDPO and/or Temp Creative Manager. Main duties include but are not limited to, establishing (with SDPO) and maintaining inventory of substrate materials inside of the DPC, and inks used in the DPC and Latex Prototype as well as the proofing printers outside of the DPC.

Responsibilities

• Performing the following as requested by the Structural Design Team:
  • Mounting prints to substrates
  • Running plotters
  • Creating and packing cartons (also for PDG)
• Maintaining Latex Printer Paper and Ink levels
• Maintaining substrate stock levels in Plotter room and Digital Print Center
• Maintaining inventory of common stock hardware such as, but not limited to plastic clips, twin stick, fiber tubes, joiners, and pole feet.
• Daily cleaning of the plotter room includes, but not limited to sweeping up debris, disposing of scrap stock and switching out dumpsters.
• Running any partial or full small-run Production jobs on plotters and in print center, as scheduled

Qualifications

• Fully trained in the basics in the Preflight department, including, but not limited to the approvals process, Digital Printing capabilities and techniques, and operation of Zund plotters.
• Fully trained on the print center equipment to become a backup operator.
• Must be able to speak and write in English

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand majority of the shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
