Job Summary

The Inventory Control manager manages the warehouse team of employees as well as oversees the daily Warehouse operations ensuring all work requests are facilitated, manages material movement and inventory. Inventory Control Manager also oversees ERP activity related to all WMS functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and supervises up to 10 to 15 employees and oversees WHS operations for two warehouse facilities. Supervision includes writing Performance Reviews.
  • Works in conjunction with the Director of Manufacturing, to ensure all warehouse equipment (i.e. Forklifts; Reach Trucks; Scales) is available and in good working order.
  • Oversees all cycle counting and consolidation activities; including Raw Material, Packaging, Back Stock, Master Stock, and Finished Goods inventories.
  • Analyzes count variances for root cause and determines corrective actions.
  • Coordinates and maintains all new warehouse locations with the Materials Manager.
  • Ensures all obsolete Finished Goods and Component Inventories are discarded after Project Management and Material Manager reviews and approvals.
  • Reviews Production Schedule daily and interfaces with the Plant Manager to supervise and prioritize jobs and material requirements to the appropriate staging areas.
  • Works with ERP generated Pick List reports and ERP Requisition Orders to ensure all materials are transacted in Movex in real time.
  • Tracks backorders and coordinate’s any part shortages against Jobs with the responsible PPM (Production Planner) and/or DPM (Developmental Project Manager).
  • Attends Outform Teams Meetings and trains team on how to navigate in D365; reviewing various modules, and reviewing various reports to manage transactions, picking priorities, cycle counts, and purchase orders.
  • Provides capacity space planning for current and future project scope, ensuring sufficient space to support manufacturing is considered.
  • Escalates issues with recommended solutions and plans to the Vice President of Operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of Warehouse experience managing hourly employees.
  • Must have previous exposure to ERP and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Must be knowledgeable and have relevant exposure to ERP systems.
  • Must be Forklift Certified and must attend all Outform compliance training courses.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus (English, Spanish)
  • APICS Certification and Membership a Plus

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the shift
  • Must have a current Driver Liscense
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
