As a Program Financial Analyst at North Wind, you will be an instrumental partner to Program Managers and project delivery teams in driving financial strategy and analysis across the assigned portfolio. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission by providing insights that enhance project decision-making, maximize contract profitability, and ensure rigorous project financial controls and compliance within a government contracting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Program Finance and partner with Program Managers to develop and maintain project baseline budgets, monthly financial forecasts, and Estimates at Completion (EACs) / Estimates to Complete (ETCs)..
  • Analyze project financial data within the Deltek Costpoint environment, monitoring direct costs, labor hours, and burn rates to identify trends, variances, and risks to project margins or schedule.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive excel-based project financial models to support lifecycle planning, resource allocation, and monthly project forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to provide actionable financial insights on project performance, funding limitations, and overall contract profitability.
  • Support project setup and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) management within ERP systems to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and billing alignment.
  • Monitor contract funding status, track limitation of funds/costs, and assit in the financial preparation of contract modifications or funding requests.
  • Ensure all project financial activities remain compliant with FAR, CAS, and specific contract terms, supporting project-level DCAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, specifically within a Government Contracting (GovCon) environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to build, maintain, and consolidate multiple complex data models.
  • Direct experience working within a Deltek Costpoint environment for data extraction and financial reporting.
  • Strong technical understanding of indirect rates, rate pools, and GovCon-specific financials.
  • Experience creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations and board decks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with DCAA compliance and the Incurred Cost Submission process is highly preferred.
  • Flexible, able to multi-task, and work to strict monthly and quarterly deadlines.
  • Due to U.S. State Department restrictions on access to technology, candidates must be “U.S. Persons” as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
