Overall Summary:

The System Administrator I supports the maintenance, security, and day-to-day operation of IWCO’s computer systems and technology infrastructure. This role works collaboratively with other System Administrators across multiple facilities to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT services that support business and production operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a developing IT professional to expand technical expertise while supporting a dynamic and fast-paced production environment.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system availability, performance, and troubleshooting of hardware, software and networking issues; ensure the optimal performance and security of computing operations.
  • Implement individual objectives set by Support & Services Manager.
  • Frequent interaction with vendors and customers regarding IWCO systems.
  • Implement Information Technology's procedures to meet company expectations and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure quality standards are met ensuring all customers receive consistently professional service according to IWCO policy and agreements.
  • Contribute ideas and/or suggestions to strengthen and improve Information Technology department processes.
  • Support production-critical systems (i.e. shop floor systems including PCs, printers, barcode scanners, label printers).
  • Administer 365/Entra ID accounts and licenses, under the direction of senior staff.
  • Partner with the other IT department team members on projects and IT tickets as needed.
  • Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and desire to grow technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; customer service oriented.
  • Understanding of IT scripting (PowerShell) capabilities and leveraging AI when applicable.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Some knowledge in supporting PC/Laptop/Mac/Virtualization related systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems or other IT related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 1 year of work experience troubleshooting systems/PC experience.
  • Current certification as an A+ Technician, Network+ Technician, and/or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work 8 hours consecutively.
  • Ability to provide off-hour support by participating in the on-call rotation schedule.
  • Ability to work onsite 5 days a week. May have flexibility of working remote occasionally if the work allows for it.
  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer,
  • Ability to work on the production floor as needed, with exposure to noise. PPE will be provided.
  • Ability to lift up to 25–35 pounds (PC’s, printers, equipment).
  • Ability to work in server rooms and data closets.

Salary:
The starting salary range for this position is $69,000-$74,000.

At IWCO, base pay is determined by job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience, along with factors such as role scope and location.
