Overall Summary:
The Mail & Logistics Planning Analyst I supports mail, logistics, and delivery planning activities by assisting with data tracking, reporting, and coordination across the organization. This role helps maintain visibility into mail production, freight transportation, and in-home delivery performance to support client delivery expectations and operational efficiency.
Working under guidance, the role collaborates with Production, Warehouse, Outsource Partners, Transportation Providers, Sales, Client Services, and IT to help monitor mail and freight movement from planning through final delivery. Responsibilities include compiling data, identifying basic issues or discrepancies, and supporting resolution efforts.
The Analyst I uses established processes and tools to gather insights, escalate risks as needed, and contribute to ongoing improvements in mailing and logistics operations while developing foundational knowledge of industry practices and systems.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate client-specific mail and logistics plans, including volume, timing, delivery requirements, service options, and transportation considerations.
- Provide postal analysis, freight estimates, transit time guidance, and scenario modeling to support Sales and Client Services in planning and client discussions.
- Partner with Production, Scheduling, Warehouse, and Outsource teams to align mailing and logistics strategies with production capacity and customer delivery commitments.
- Assist with planning and coordination of general freight movement between facilities and outsource partners to support efficient cost effective on time transportation.
- Monitor and analyze in‑home delivery performance from USPS induction through final delivery, identifying delivery variances, service risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Deliver, and support internal and client-facing reporting related to delivery performance, tracking visibility, and service outcomes.
- Evaluate postal, freight, and delivery performance recaps to assess cost, service levels, and operational effectiveness, recommending enhancements to processes and practices.
- Support day to day relationship with IWCO’s corporate logistics and/or mail tracking software provider(s).
- Coordinate with corporate transportation providers to minimize expedited general freight and finished mail transportation.
- Support issue resolution related to planning, tracking, and delivery performance by collaborating across internal teams and external partners.
- Contribute to adoption, testing, and enhancement of mail tracking, logistics, and reporting systems in partnership with IT and business stakeholders.
- Participate in client-facing activities such as calls, presentations, webinars, and facility tours, providing logistics and delivery insight as needed.
- Support process improvement efforts through documentation, standardization, best-practice sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in postal services, logistics, transportation, and/or fulfillment within a direct mail, print, or production environment preferred.
- Experience with mail tracking systems, postal documentation, and freight coordination preferred.
- Exposure to LTL and truckload transportation a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work 8 hours consecutively.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Periodically, may be required to spend time on the production floor.
Salary:
The starting salary range for this position is $55,000-65,000.
