Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring a Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Director in Singapore. Position SummaryThe Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Director will lead the development and execution of Isola's global sourcing and supply chain strategy in support of commercial objectives, operational requirements, financial goals, and long-term growth. The role combines strategic sourcing leadership with global supply chain integration, ensuring a resilient, cost-effective supply base and strong alignment among supply base, manufacturing sites, R&D, Sales, Operations, Quality, Product Management, Engineering, and Finance. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for commodity and supplier strategy, supplier performance, sourcing governance, supply continuity / resilience, continuous process improvement of end-to-end supply chain planning and inventory optimization. The Director will translate business priorities, market intelligence, supplier capabilities, and demand signals into practical execution plans; strengthen supplier partnerships; mitigate risk; and build scalable processes, analytics, and capabilities that improve total cost, service, quality, and resilience. Key Responsibilities1. Global Sourcing Strategy & Business Alignment Develop and execute global sourcing with published category and supplier strategy roadmaps aligned with business growth, financial performance, operational needs, quality expectations, technology priorities, and supply continuity.Partner with Sales, Operations, R&D/Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and manufacturing sites to ensure sourcing decisions support customer commitments, new product development, alternate-source qualification, and operational execution.Use market intelligence, cost analysis, scenario planning, supplier capabilities, and performance data to provide leadership recommendations and guide sourcing decisions.Leverage enterprise-wide spend, regional RFQ activity, and total-cost analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and improve commercial outcomes. 2. Supplier Strategy, Negotiation & Performance Build strategic supplier partnerships and category roadmaps that support supply assurance, innovation, competitive advantage, and long-term business needs.Strategies should address cost, quality, service, technology, risk mitigation for resiliency and technology capability, supplier consolidation, commercial terms, and long-term supply agreements.Lead complex negotiations and manage commercial agreements, including pricing, terms, capacity commitments, and long-term supply arrangements.Develop supplier segmentation, competitive bidding, cost benchmarking, value analysis/value engineering, and negotiation frameworks that strengthen sourcing discipline and long-term value.Partner with Quality, Technology and Operations on supplier performance scorecards, business reviews, corrective actions, and continuous improvement plans that improve quality, delivery, responsiveness, and overall supplier performance.Qualify alternate sources and advance supplier diversification strategies to reduce concentration risk and strengthen supply security. 3. Supply Chain Planning, Materials & Continuity Partner with Operations and Materials Management to align demand, supply, inventory, supplier capacity, lead times, and service requirements across the global supply chain.Improve visibility to supply constraints, inventory requirements, supplier readiness, recovery actions, and materials availability; ensure risks are escalated and addressed pro-actively with clear ownership.Lead cross-regional contingency planning and supply continuity strategies in response to market volatility, logistics constraints, geopolitical or trade risks, supplier disruptions, and changing customer requirements.Balance supply assurance and working-capital objectives through appropriate inventory, alternate-source, and capacity strategies. 4. Procurement & Supply Chain Operational Excellence Drive consistent sourcing, procurement, supplier management, planning, inventory, and materials-management processes across the global organization.Establish KPI governance, operating reviews, and performance-management disciplines that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making.Lead continuous improvement and change initiatives that strengthen supply chain effectiveness, resiliency, scalability, and cross-functional execution.Partner with business and functional leaders to improve end-to-end performance through better processes, analytics, systems, and controls. 5. Leadership & Capability Development Build organizational capability and leadership depth within global sourcing and supply chain through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and clear accountability.Develop the processes, systems, analytics, and technology foundations required to improve supply chain performance and scale with the business.Foster a culture of collaboration, customer focus, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution across global teams and stakeholders. Candidate Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.Significant experience in global sourcing, procurement, supplier management, supply chain planning, or materials management within a manufacturing or technical-products environment.Demonstrated success developing and leading commodity and supplier strategies, leading complex negotiations, improving supplier performance, and delivering measurable cost, quality, service, and risk-mitigation results.Strong commercial, analytical, financial, and negotiation capability, with the ability to use data and market intelligence to influence business decisions.Experience enabling and leading collaboration across regions, manufacturing sites, and cross-functional teams, including technical, product, quality, and operations stakeholders.Language skills: English required, with additional skills in Mandarin and / or Japanese preferred.Proven leadership capability with the ability to build trust, drive accountability, manage change, and develop organizational capability.
