THE ROLEThe Maintenance Planner II is responsible for SAP planning/scheduling, and inventory management in our Maintenance department. The selected individual will also work closely with our Supply chain Administrator and fill-in as necessary, ensuring effective execution of all maintenance work control processes. Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager to drive towards continuous production by planning/scheduling PM’s and managing inventory resources required to conduct maintenance activities. The Maintenance Planning and Procurement officer is a vital role in plant-wide continuous improvement. WHO WILL LOVE THIS JOB A collaborative teammate, you enjoy working with others and utilizing strong partnerships (internal and external) to achieve the best outcomeA task-oriented teammate, you find deep satisfaction from independently checking things off your to do listA strategist, you never make a decision without considering the overall impact TOP RESPONSIBILITIES Approach all aspects of work being performed with safety as the highest priorityWorks with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Lead, Operations and Engineering to determine resource availability to complete critical PM’s, requests, breakdowns, tasks, and completed in a timely manner. Schedules meetings as required to implement activities as required.Create PM’s and make improvements using technical manuals along with input from technicians for improved uptime metrics and equipment throughput.Monitor, prioritize, schedule and assign work order requests to technicians as needed to minimize downtime Develops a work force schedule by technician to see that skills, resources and availability are met to complete work as assignedEscalates issues with Maintenance Manager, EHS, Engineering and Operations work that is of the highest priority such as compliance, safety or environmental related.Manage PM priorities, work orders and breakdowns using SAPIdentify, quote, and submit purchase requisitions required to obtain parts/items required to perform repairs of equipment and facility.Must be able to link cost of parts to each individual asset in the facility with purchasing spare parts.Must be highly proficient with SAP software.Keep accurate records and metrics on the performance of planning and scheduling functions and provide facilities manager reports in a timely manner.Works with purchasing to see that critical spare parts are stocked with proper min/max levels needed to keep facility running at optimal levels and reducing cost thru tracking history and reducing cost.Ability to coach and work well with diverse work force driving increased PM quality and Work order completion and closeout time.Coordinates Maintenance and Operations L1/L2 autonomous maintenance activities at equipment to engage operatorsHelps drive TPM by operations for improved uptime and efficiencies.Dispatch/assign PM’s to Maintenance techniciansAssist in plant shut down operations by obtaining parts, supplies, and materials before the scheduled stop of production.Identify repetitive failures/repairs and adjust PM activities in coordination with Sr. Maintenance lead and Maintenance ManagerConducts 6S projects within the maintenance department to organize and sort inventory. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Previous experience in purchasing maintenance items preferred.Previous experience using a PC.SAP Plant Maintenance strongly preferredISO 9001 Certification-preferred
