Business Development Manager-Taiwan

THE ROLE
The Business Development Manager – Taiwan is responsible for driving new revenue growth through customer acquisition, market expansion, and competitive displacement across the PCB and electronic materials ecosystem.
This is a hunter-focused commercial role, with primary accountability for identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities across PCB fabricators, OEMs, and emerging segments.
The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires strong market insight, commercial acumen, and the ability to convert opportunities into revenue within complex, technical sales cycles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
New Business Acquisition
· Identify, target, and win new customers and programs across PCB fabricators, OEMs, and strategic growth segments
· Drive market penetration and competitive displacement, capturing share from existing competitors
· Develop and execute territory expansion strategies aligned with growth priorities
· Build and convert a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities into revenue
Market Expansion & Growth Strategy
· Identify emerging applications, customers, and segments aligned with Isola’s product portfolio
· Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand presence in Taiwan
· Lead initiatives to diversify the customer base and reduce reliance on large accounts
· Translate market insights into actionable growth opportunities
Revenue Ownership & Pipeline Development
· Own and deliver against new business revenue targets within assigned territory
· Maintain a robust pipeline (target 3–4x coverage) to support consistent growth
· Manage long and complex sales cycles, including technical qualification and commercialization
· Drive opportunities from prospecting through to closure
Commercial Leadership & Customer Engagement
· Lead commercial discussions including value positioning, pricing, and negotiations
· Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across technical, procurement, and executive levels
· Position solutions that align with customer needs and Isola’s capabilities
· Represent the company in key customer engagements and industry forums
Market Intelligence & Competitive Insight
· Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics
· Identify opportunities for competitive wins and differentiation
· Provide actionable insights to support commercial strategy and product positioning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with Technical Services and Operations to support customer qualifications and project execution
· Align internal resources to enable successful conversion of new business opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
· 5–10 years of sales or business development experience in PCB, CCL, electronic materials, or related industries
· Proven track record of new business acquisition and revenue growth
· Strong experience selling into PCB fabricators and/or OEMs in Taiwan/Greater China
· Demonstrated success managing long, technical sales cycles
