THE ROLE
The Signal Integrity Engineer plays a critical role in supporting Isola’s high-speed laminate material characterization and customer evaluations. Based in Taiwan, this role focuses on hands-on SI testing, modeling, and reporting, working closely under the guidance of the Lead Signal Integrity Engineer. This role ensures that Isola’s materials meet customer requirements for next-generation high-speed applications while contributing to internal R&D innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer-Facing Technical Support:
- Perform SI measurements and provide data to support OEM and direct customer evaluations.
- Assist in validating laminate performance in design-in cycles and product adoption phases.
- Prepare technical reports, datasheets, and support collateral.
Technical Execution
- Conduct advanced SI testing using VNAs and probing methods.
- Support development and improvement of SI test methodologies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve SI-related technical issues.
Collaboration and Development
- Work with R&D, Product Management, and Sales to provide accurate SI data for decision-making.
- Learn from and support the Lead SI Engineer in advancing modeling and test capabilities.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement processes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 years of experience in signal integrity, PCB laminates, or high-speed design.
- Familiarity with VNA measurements and probing techniques.
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and its impact on SI performance preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to grow technically.
EDUCATION
- Master’s or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
- Fluent in English – required for global communication and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese – strongly preferred for local collaboration and customer support.
- Ability to travel regionally as needed.
