Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring a Shipping Clerk at our Chandler, AZ Location.

Available Shift Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 9am to 530pm Monday – Friday (overtime is expected)

THE ROLE

This position collaborates across production operations, sales and supply chain to plan, schedule, and execute domestic and international shipments to customers and inter-company.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all daily shipment documentation into SAP.
  • Prepare and stage product for shipment, including labels, packing list, and bill of lading
  • 100% Shipment and transactional accuracy including completion of logs/reports.
  • Verify Packaging materials and labeling are in accordance with customer requirements and Isola Packaging procedures.
  • Identify improperly packaged materials and coordinate required corrections with operation team.
  • Research and promptly respond to issues and delays.
  • Able to audit SAP documentation (commercial invoice, packing slip, certificates and SLI) for proper HTS codes, Country of Origin, terms of sale, etc.
  • Verify that daily shipping documents are made available for QA.
  • Daily communication with ISR's and scheduling.
  • Work with freight carriers to schedule shipments for pick up and track shipments as needed.
  • Close shipping process each day and run appropriate reports.
  • Load trucks properly to prevent damage while goods are in-transit.
  • Able to adapt quickly to last minute changes to instructions due to late deliveries or change to customer requirements.
  • Work with supply chain and logistics to identify and improve processes.
  • Regular and predicable attendance required.
  • Provide back-up for receiving or within other areas of the plant as required.
  • Ability to move heavy packages with proper lifting techniques.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures in accordance with policies and local, state, and federal laws.
  • Adhere to all quality standards per Isola policy
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas including equipment, tools, and work surfaces.
  • Provide training for new employees and cross-training team members.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement events as required.
  • Participates in period inventory of materials.
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to Read and Write English
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • At least 6 months previous experience in manufacturing.
  • Previous experience using a PC.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to work effectively under pressure and to work effectively with people within the organization.
  • Forklift Experience preferred
  • Ability to Stand for 8+ hours

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

  • In this role you maybe be required to stand up to 10 hours per shift and with frequent bending, reaching, and grasping. You will also need to lift, pull or push up to 50 pounds.
