Position Overview:
Isola Group is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Global Planning to lead and optimize our master scheduling and global production planning activities. This individual will be instrumental in ensuring our global manufacturing network delivers on-time, with the precision and responsiveness our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the global master scheduling function across all production facilities to ensure demand is aligned with capacity, material availability, and logistical considerations.
- Develop and institutionalize a disciplined global planning process that integrates order intake, raw material inventory, manufacturing capability, and freight lead times.
- Leverage advanced planning tools within SAP and MRP systems to determine optimal production location and raw material deployment.
- Ensure strict adherence to lead time requirements and drive service level improvements across global sites.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment on forecast accuracy, order prioritization, and production planning.
- Monitor global supply chain performance and proactively resolve planning conflicts and bottlenecks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning accuracy, system utilization, and process standardization.
- Provide strong leadership and communication across multiple global sites and cultural environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise with SAP, MRP systems, and advanced planning/scheduling tools in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and constraints, particularly in a make-to-order or engineer-to-order context.
- Demonstrated success in leading global planning teams and implementing standardized planning processes across international sites.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in the electronics or PCB industry is a plus.
- Ability to travel globally as required.
