Position Summary:

The Product Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our PCB laminate products meet all relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific requirements. This customer-facing role will interact directly with clients to address product compliance inquiries, facilitate technical support, and provide expert guidance throughout the product lifecycle. The position will work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and to deliver seamless solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interface & Support

• Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to product compliance, certification, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their compliance needs, address concerns, and provide technical documentation (e.g., certifications, compliance reports).
• Help customers resolve any compliance-related issues, from initial product development through post-production.

Regulatory and Standards Compliance

• Monitor and ensure that PCB laminate products meet all relevant global standards, including but not limited to RoHS, REACH, UL, and ISO certifications.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations and compliance standards, ensuring the company's products meet new or updated requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and third-party certifying bodies to obtain and maintain necessary product certifications.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, including test reports, certification records, and product specifications.
• Work with internal teams (R&D, Production, Quality Assurance) to ensure product documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with industry standards.
• Generate and provide compliance-related reports and documentation for customer requests, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Develop and document compliance procedures and practices for global teams.

Collaboration with R&D & Technical Teams

• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to incorporate compliance requirements into product design and development.
• Review product designs and prototypes to identify potential compliance risks and recommend design modifications.
• Provide guidance to product development teams on materials, processes, and technologies that meet compliance standards.

Product Lifecycle Management

• Support product lifecycle management by tracking the compliance status of products from concept through manufacturing and market release.
• Ensure all regulatory compliance testing is completed and certifications are up to date throughout the product’s lifecycle.
• Lead efforts in managing the compliance of both new and existing PCB laminate products as market regulations evolve.

Training and Awareness

• Conduct training sessions and internal workshops to raise awareness on product compliance and regulatory requirements within the company.
• Provide ongoing education to R&D, production, and customer support teams on changes in compliance regulations and standards.
• Develop and document compliance procedures and practices for global teams.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field. Additional certifications in compliance or regulatory affairs are a plus.
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in a product compliance role within the electronics or materials industry (preferably in PCB laminates or similar fields).
• Experience interfacing with customers and handling compliance inquiries.
• In-depth knowledge of international compliance standards (RoHS, REACH, UL, ISO, etc.) and experience with compliance documentation and certifications.
• Previous exposure to R&D, product design, and technical support in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex compliance concepts to non-technical customers (in both English and Chinese).
• Familiarity with compliance software and tools for documentation, reporting, and testing.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments (R&D, Quality, Production) and external parties (regulatory bodies, customers).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with PCB laminate materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working in a customer-facing role, particularly in a technical or compliance capacity.
