Job Summary:
This role monitors and improves organizational processes with the aim of making them sustainably efficient. ISO 9000 process-based improvements feature heavily in this role along with innate curiosity and the ability to create simplified workflows to remove waste and eliminate low-value activities and implement or recommend solutions. Guided by lean frameworks and kaizen methodologies, take the lead in implementing changes, acting as a leaders, managers, and mentors throughout different areas of the organization. Areas of process improvement include the end-to-end flow of information and materials. Primary focus is the factory. This role will be responsible for leading through influence and will interact with all levels of the organization, from direct labor to executive.
Job Description:
Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead location specific continuous improvement. Integrate processes into the Imagine Operating System. Ensure a sustaining framework to maintain the improvements over time through data driven control plans and the implementation of optimized and improving standard work.
Analyze Business and Quality Processes
- Analyze existing business processes using various methods such as gap analysis or PDCA (P-Do-Check-Act). This allows individual to find opportunities for improvement as well as losses, which they troubleshoot further to determine root causes.
Develop Strategies
- Act as an internal consultant, developing short- and long-term strategies for the organization and incorporating ISO, Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and other practices.
Lead Activities
- Coordinate and lead key projects for improvement across all levels of the organization.
Monitor Progress
- Establish measurable standards for the organization that link to the enterprise operations strategies and deliverables.
Provide Mentorship
- Serve as a coach who coordinates location wide process improvement, delivering workshops and team trainings, openly sharing their guidance and technical expertise, and ensuring that learning resources for employee development are available and effective.
Minimum Qualifications of Position:
- An undergraduate college degree, or equivalent experience, is required for this role, preferably in an Engineering, finance, or Business Management discipline.
- Demonstrated success in leading a broad change initiative for a location or group of locations.
- Ability to interact in an inspiring manner with all functions and levels within an organization.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated depth of knowledge and experience leading Quality. Demonstrated ability to lead LEAN / Continuous Improvement process improvement in a manufacturing or Business Process environment. In-depth expertise of LEAN tools and the associated financial acumen needed to identify and track costs.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization. Inspirational leader who can lead through influence.
- The ability to work both strategically and tactically on improvement plans.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
- Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
