Job Summary:

Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff, organizing, and monitoring work process.

3rd shift: 10:30PM to 6:30AM

Job Description:

  • Assigns department work as needed to meet daily production goals and on time delivery.
  • Update SQDIP board and resolve daily issues / escalate as needed.
  • Drive job costing accuracy.
  • Ensure proper recording of transactions to/from inventory and jobs and manage reduction in rework / waste.
  • Review and approve hours / PTO for direct reports within payroll deadlines. Manage attendance points and related employee communications.
  • Collect, review, and approve timesheets for hours and job code accuracy daily.
  • Manage labor costs including overtime and flexing associates as needed.
  • Notify temporary agency of temporary associate attendance / behavior.
  • Ensure compliance to company policies and manage / deliver disciplinary actions for direct reports. Partner with HR on complex cases
  • Provide training, coaching, and counseling to direct reports to achieve department's goals.
  • Support completion of ISO training for team
  • Listen to employees and address concerns, suggestions, etc.
  • Direct employees to complete preventative maintenance as needed and update records.
  • Advise manager of potential need to add resources.
  • Follow safety protocols and immediately address safety issues and ensure employees are trained on safety protocols for work area. Initiate safety investigation and drives, correction action post-accident
  • Perform as operator as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications of Position:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three plus years of experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution, and/or fulfillment.

Preferred Qualifications of Position:

  • One plus year of experience managing other employees.
  • English proficiency is preferred to support job specific operational training and instruction requirements, workplace safety, and effective employee collaboration in a fast paced, changing environment. Many safety protocols, emergency instructions, and operational documentation are provided in English. Clear communication among team members during production activities is essential to maintain efficient workflow, adapt to changing requirements, prevent accidents, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain efficient workflow.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and measurement.
  • Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude to help troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
  • Frequent standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Frequent walking
  • Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work

PAY STATEMENT

The national pay range for this role is listed in the job posting. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
