Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety through inspections & audits. This role involves inspecting materials, processes, and products to ensure compliance with customer expectations, industry standards and regulations.
Job Description:
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Utilize measuring instruments and testing equipment to verify product quality.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
- Identify and report any defects or non-conformities and collaborate with production teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Minimum Qualifications of Position:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in quality control is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Preferred Qualifications of Position:
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Good understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Ability to speak, write, and understand Spanish
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
- Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, and other elements typical of a manufacturing environment.
PAY STATEMENT
The national pay range for this role is listed above. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
