Job Summary:

Assembly Finishing Setup helps allow the department to transition smoothly between completing one job and setting up another. This is a support role to assist the Kitting/Assembly Teams by setting up kit/assembly jobs and moving materials to and from lines to maximize efficiency.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:45pm - 7:15am

Job Description:

  • Ensure Kitting & Assembly jobs have all components accounted for and setup on the lines prior to kitting & assembly.
  • Communicate with the appropriate departments to ensure all products are on track and accounted for prior to kitting /assembly.
  • Read and understand kit /assembly layouts and setup jobs per the layouts provided.
  • Responsible for ordering and insuring kit components are for material orders.
  • Understand and navigate within department software – PSI, E-ticket, Lucid, etc.
  • Moving product to and from lines in a timely manner.
  • Assist with general housekeeping.
  • Assist in line clearance and job setup.
  • Complete daily maintenance of kitting power equipment.
  • Remove excess materials from department as determined by supervisors.
  • Identify any fulfillment that needs to be isolated prior to staging product.
  • Perform skid product counts as needed to determine any shortages.
  • Perform deductions from jobs after kitting.
  • Close out any pertinent production jobs as they process trough incoming.
  • Checking product into PSI – creating roll tracks
  • Read Job Tickets, KIF’s/JIF’s and understand layouts for kitting and assembly lines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to operator riders, forklifts, and various material handling equipment
  • Ability to understand production related systems including PSI, Skid Tracking, Lucid, WMS

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and/or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

  • Forklift certified preferred but training will be provided.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Technical knowledge of the department and company processes and procedures
  • Problem solving, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Knowledge of data processing system
  • Basic computer skills navigating Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to operator riders, forklifts, and various material handling equipment
  • Ability to understand production related systems including PSI, Skid Tracking, Lucid, WMS

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional walking
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work
  • Frequent Sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Travel: N/A

PAY STATEMENT

The national pay range for this role is listed above. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. Salary Description
$18 - 20/hr
