The Operations Coordinator is responsible for project activities of all production areas, including Sheet fed press, all finishing, Digital/Screen production, manages production for designated accounts and, when necessary, directly contacts Account managers/ scheduling and production leaders for information and effectively communicates that information to be able to execute projects effectively.
SHIFT: Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 3:30am
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all departments have correct instructions and procedures. Directs the maintenance of schedules in the manufacture of printing in each phase of production. Establishes delivery priorities.
- Maintains direct contact with all departments in the company concerning delivery dates, job status and progress.
- Works closely with the insourcing team and is the point person for projects from our other locations for a single point of contact.
- Keeps VP of Manufacturing and Scheduling manager informed of status, progress, and schedules in the operation of the production areas. Communicates directly with individual managers on status of jobs, problems, and concerns.
- Assists in the development of manufacturing objectives, policies, plans and programs.
- Maintains maximum plant productivity and quality control according to established standards.
- Ensures that all commitments to customers are planned and delivered effectively.
- Will be a participant in establishing effective standards of performance and communicating to all shifts. Will assist in communicates policies, programs, and practices.
- May participate and inform performance appraisals for hourly employees.
- Assist in establishing and directing training and development programs for assigned personnel.
- Ensures standard preventative maintenance tasks are conducted.
- Discusses and resolves scheduling conflicts with Scheduling manager.
- Follows through on jobs in plant which may need special handling, and which have special standards and specifications.
- Works closely with the scheduling department and understands how to read and use the scheduling software.
- Analyzes in-plant problems to assist personnel in reaching prescribed quality standards.
- Halts production on any job in any manufacturing department when quality requirements are not being met.
- Performs other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications of Position
- College or technical degree in related field and/or equivalent experience of 5 to 10 years.
Knowledge and Skills
- Extensive knowledge of all printing production processes.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, and communication.
- Ability to develop new techniques for handling work.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to read and understand English oral/written instructions as well as communicate orally the English language.
- Basic Math.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Communication skills – written and verbal.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of production materials.
- Knowledge of quality methods and techniques.
- Ability to anticipate problems and head them off.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
- Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive work.

The national pay range for this role is $60,000- $80,000/year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
