Position Summary

As the Manager of Scheduling, you will lead our scheduling team and ensure successful execution of the production plan while monitoring materials and equipment to avoid constraints. You will be the point person for all activities related to the production schedule. You will rapidly react to planning changes and strategically execute backup plans. You will take the initiative to verify supplies are available, lead efforts to minimize excess finished goods, and spearhead data accuracy in our manufacturing system.

  • Perform schedule reviews, prepare schedule update analysis reports, investigate and analyze schedule impacts and recommend corrective action to be taken to mitigate/avoid cost and schedule overruns.
  • Monitor, review and report schedule status to key stake holders including senior and executive management
  • Develop “what-if” scenarios, mitigation schedules, look-ahead schedules, and time impact analysis.
  • Identify schedule issues, variations, opportunities and corrective actions to mitigate potential delays to projects.
  • Utilize time impact analysis or similar scheduling techniques to assess and quantify the effects of unplanned events, which increase the work scope.
  • Coach, direct and mentor team members to ensure department objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Develop, implement, and monitor department goals.

Skills and Knowledge

  • BS/BA Degree in a field of study such as Supply Chain, Operations, or Business-related field.
  • Leadership experience managing production schedules and teams
  • 5+ years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment using effective listening, coaching, training, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and strategic planning.
  • Proficient with MS Office particularly Excel.
