SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Fleet Operations Specialist performs many organizational and administrative tasks to monitor, maintain and improve our company's fleet operations. In addition to the daily coordination and accuracy of fleet data, the Fleet Operations Specialist generates utilization analyses, business insights and recommendations that drive cost savings and operational efficiency. This role will provide analytical insight into how fleet intersects with our Field Operations teams. The specialist will partner with internal analytics teams, market leaders and IT to use our fleet data to improve costs, utilization and decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Conduct daily safety and fleet tasks such as ordering fleet materials, general user and admin management, negotiating and approving maintenance requests, and responding to requests for fleet program information.

· Organize, monitor and report on recalls, class action settlement and other special projects.

· Analyze fleet fuel, maintenance, GPS, safety and spend data to determine trends and opportunities.

· Create ad-hoc fleet and safety reporting for managers using Excel pivot tables, lookups and complex formulas

· Utilize Excel and BI reporting tools to create and maintain monthly KPI, trending and exception reporting.

· Partner with IT and internal teams to create fleet dashboards that measure KPIs, cost and performance

· Investigate and escalate anomalies in maintenance, fuel, GPS and utilization trends

· Create and interpret utilization reporting and make recommendations on staffing and fleet vehicle allocation

· Make recommendations on vehicle selection and replacements based on TCO, feedback and available fleet data

· Determine and recommend training opportunities based on exception and trend reporting

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Primarily working indoors, office environment.

· May sit for several hours at a time.

· Prolonged exposure to computer screens and repetitive use of hands to operate computers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Associates degree or equivalent work experience and/or education

· High proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

· Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)

· Minimum 3-5 yrs experience in fleet operations

· Minimum 3-5 yrs experience in an analyst or specialist role

· Minimum 3-5 yrs experience using Holman Insights

· Experience analyzing and managing data from large datasets

· Proven ability to interpret and articulate results of data analysis to leaders

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and/or education

· Expert proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

· Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)

· 5+ yrs experience in safety and fleet operations (ideally supporting a multi-state/nationwide fleet)

· 5+ yrs experience in an analyst or specialist role

· 5+ yrs experience using Holman Insights

· Experience working in a fast pace, high-growth company

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

· Reporting/Analysis — Knowledge of basic reporting and analytical principles and practices

· Data Integrity - Understanding of best practices to ensure data accuracy and integrity

· Fleet Operations – Understanding of fleet vehicle repair needs, best practices and lifecycle management
