Description

Duties and Requirements of the Job:

  • Direct and prioritize the activities of the Account Managers to achieve increased profitability and growth.

  • Personally have sales responsibility for assigned accounts

  • Develop an annual sales plan for the group and achieve or exceed the sales and profit targets. Prepare regular forecast updates as required.

  • Create a customer focus within organization.

  • Coordinate Sales activities to enhance profitability through various methodologies such as raw material pass through, collection of obsolescence costs, terms compliance and cost reductions.

  • Negotiate major business agreements and long term contracts.

  • Develop the professional skills of the Sales Group.

  • Work closely with the Application and Product Engineering group to identify new opportunities and to prioritize activity.

  • Investigate, evaluate and monitor the company’s competitive position and the market. Initiate or recommend actions to improve competitiveness.

  • Work with the Account Managers to gather competitive intelligence and report such to the VP of Sales and the ECI organization as deemed appropriate.

  • Ensure customer needs and expectations are met or exceeded in order to maintain a competitive advantage.

  • Interact at a senior level with customers.

  • Participate in the development of the strategic plan.

  • Prepare annual group budget and monitor adherence to the approved budget

  • Other duties as assigned by the V.P. of Sales

Qualifications

Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:

  • Minimum 5 years directing sales of technical product in appliance or electronic industries

  • Demonstrated ability in “value added” selling

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface with internal and external customers

  • Ability to communicate in both Mandarin and English

  • Demonstrated managerial success

  • Strong businesses knowledge and skills

  • Displays independent judgment and initiative
