Position Summary:

You will be responsible for the strategic plan and implementation of the materials purchasing, logistics and warehousing policies and procedures to develop a purchasing program for the entire Company. In this role, you’ll collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Finance, to create effective business plans.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Oversee shipping methods such as air freight, trucking, rail, or marine transport.
  • Oversee Brokers and Customs to ensure on time delivery every destination.
  • Direct all activities for shipping and receiving functions.
  • Evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and customer service.
  • Develop annual budgets and long-term strategic plans, including capital expenditures.
  • Review reports regarding inventory levels and pricing strategies to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor all aspects of the supply chain to ensure that goals are being met.
  • Manage a team of supply chain specialists who are responsible for planning and executing supply chain activities.
  • Continuous improvement of efficiency in the supply chain process.
  • Develop, communicate, and manage procurement policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Establish standards for and lead bid process and direct purchase process for entire organization to include manufacturing and corporate areas (machinery, raw goods, supplies, etc.) to include bid details, budget, cost analysis.
  • Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly.
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
  • Resolve issues quickly and efficiently (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents).
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.

Education/Experience:

  • Master’s Business Administration preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or relevant field of emphasis.
  • 100% Bilingual, English & Spanish.
  • 10+ years relevant materials management & purchasing experience.
  • Experience in international supply chains and managing teams in different geographic locations
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting techniques as well as operational systems and warehouse management.
  • Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong quantitative analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Exchange, Word) capabilities required.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills required.
  • Solid analytical and computer skills.
  • Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance.
  • Experience with sourcing and procurement, building a comprehensive vendor program and driving a competitive vendor landscape
  • Applicant must have a valid US Passport or equivalent enabling extensive travel to various facility locations within the U.S. as well as suppliers and manufacturers abroad
