About the Role:
The Manufacturing & Transportation Recruiter plays a critical role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent within the manufacturing and transportation sectors. This position is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and workforce needs. The recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers and department leaders to understand specific job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies tailored to these industries. Success in this role directly impacts the company’s operational efficiency and growth by securing skilled professionals who contribute to production excellence and logistical effectiveness. Additionally, the recruiter will maintain a strong talent pipeline and stay informed on industry trends to proactively address workforce challenges and opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably within manufacturing, transportation, or related industries.
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruitment processes and deliver quality hires.
- Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with candidates and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience recruiting for technical and skilled trade positions within manufacturing or transportation sectors.
- Familiarity with labor market trends and workforce challenges specific to manufacturing and transportation industries.
- Demonstrated success in employer branding and talent pipeline development.
- Ability to analyze recruitment metrics and apply data-driven decision-making.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for manufacturing and transportation roles.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and provide guidance on market conditions and candidate availability.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems and recruitment databases to ensure accurate and timely candidate information.
- Build and nurture relationships with industry-specific job boards, professional associations, and educational institutions to expand the talent pool.
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs, recruitment events, and networking opportunities to promote employer brand and attract candidates.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide regular recruitment metrics and reports to leadership to inform hiring strategies and workforce planning.
